The Retirement Account

Retirement Account fund managers

We’ve made it straight forward for you to select the right fund, or combination of funds, for every client. Firstly we’ve catered for three different attitudes to risk – cautious, balanced and adventurous. Next, you can choose from three investment styles, active funds, passive funds and protected funds.

Protected funds

These funds use assets that have the potential to grow an investment over the long term. They also have another valuable feature. The fund’s protect a client’s money so that it can never fall below 80% of the highest value it has achieved (although this isn’t guaranteed).

We have just launched the Protected Index Portfolio – a new fund exclusive to The Retirement Account.

Cautious funds

These funds are largely invested in lower-risk investments. This means there is less chance of the fund falling in value, although investment returns are also likely to be lower.

Balanced funds

These funds aim to achieve a balance of risk and return from a combination of lower risk and higher- risk investments. This means the funds may fluctuate in value in exchange for potentially higher returns over the medium to long term.

Adventurous funds

These funds have the potential to give you high prospects for growth. However, this means there is more chance of the fund falling in value.

To find out more about the funds we offer please select the relevant tab above.

Active cautious funds

These are managed by specialist investment manager, or team of specialists, who have a certain freedom over the investments they make. Investment managers use their knowledge and experience to attempt to beat the returns you could achieve by investing in a stock market index, over the long term.
